In my work my photographs revolve around others needs. Mostly in digital and in the studio for reproduction and promotion. I shoot artists portraits, artwork and demonstrations. I get a lot of joy out of meeting all the local artists, helping them how I can and still supporting myself financially.My personal photography balances my work well. Shooting mostly film and hardly ever in the studio. However I do often cross into the digital realm in my personal photos, sometimes alone, other times melding it with traditional techniques. My personal work comes from a need to express myself through my photos; experiences, emotions and beliefs all come through in the final print. Recently my photographs have become more design oriented, darker and more traditionally created with touches of color, city photos mysteriously void of human population, the few portraits of people I do shoot having little hint of time or place.
